Gary Johnson (Glen Powell) lehrt eigentlich Psychologie an der Uni, aber nebenher

zu überführen, die einen Mord in Auftrag geben wollen. Doch als die verzweifelte
Madison (Adria Arjona) vor ihm sitzt, um ihren sie misshandelnden Ehemann ermorden
zu lassen, wirft er seine Professionalität über Bord. Statt sie den Mordauftrag
aussprechen und dann verhaften zu lassen, hilft er ihr, von ihrem Mann loszukommen.
Und das ist erst der Anfang. Denn als er anfängt, unter seinem Fake-Auftragskiller-
Alter-Ego Madison wieder zu treffen, setzt das eine turbulente Kette von Ereignissen
in Gang...
