Description
Have you ever been in a meeting room with this brilliant idea, but you hesitate?Have you always been curious about what life would be if you were more confident?Have you wondered why people do not understand you when you say everything right?I've had the same problem. I was silent in board rooms, knowing I could have contributed more. I've worked on a presentation tirelessly, only for my clients not to pay attention. I blamed my introverted personality, the people I was with not being able to get it, and the timing of the meeting. Here is what you need to know, everyone goes through that feeling of doubt. Even your favorite actors seem put together and confident. The good news is that some tools and techniques can overcome this. I've compiled actors' mindsets and acting workshop activities that regular people can use in day-to-day activities. In this course, we learn about:· Overcoming fear of judgment to gain confidence· The communication process and the reasons for miscommunication· The concept of space as a channel in face-to-face communications· Tools and techniques actors use to communicate· Using the body as a tool to communicate· Maximizing our voice to get our message across· How subtext can be a powerful tool to connect with othersI have combined my personal and professional experiences as an actor, a corporate manager, and a businessman to build this course. It will have relatable stories, thought-provoking ideas, and enjoyable exercises to help you gain confidence and improve your communication skills. To maximize learning while keeping it fun and dynamic, our learning method will include:· Hearing relatable stories as examples· Learning about the theories, processes, and science behind the concepts· Doing acting workshop activities with the objective of using them in our work, personal, and social livesYou do not need to have any acting experience or software knowledge to benefit from this module. If you are:· career-oriented and want to develop your communication skills· shy and want to gain confidenceThis is for you!For this to work, you must have the following mindset:· Understand that you may not be at your best but can be.· Be open. Stay curious.· Be present.· Be willing to do the workshop activities.Make sure your learning device is capable of playing videos with audio. It would help to have a camera on standby so you can record yourself doing the workshop activities. The workshop activities might seem uncomfortable initially, but remember that you are doing this for your growth. It starts with your belief in yourself.
