Quote:Chee Wah Lim received the M.Eng. and PhD degrees in mechanical engineering from the National University of Singapore and Nanynag Technological University, in 1991 and 1995, respectively. From 1995 to 2000, he held research positions at The University of Queensland and University of Hong Kong. In 2000, he joined the City University of Hong Kong. He is the author of more than 300 research articles, three patents, and one software invention. His research interests include vibration of plates and shells, nonlinear dynamical systems, nanomechanics, piezoelectric structures, metamaterials, thermo-acoustics, and symplectic elasticity. Dr Lim is a Fellow of the ASME, ASCE, EMI, and HKIE. He holds editorial positions for more than ten research journals.
Weiyong Wang is a Professor at Chongqing University, China, specializing in structural engineering, fire safety, and steel and composite structures. He obtained his PhD from Tongji University in 2008, after completing his MSE at Qingdao Technological University in 2005 and his BS at Qingdao Institute of Architecture and Engineering in 2002. Since joining Chongqing University, he has progressed from Lecturer (2008-2010) to Associate Professor (2010-2017) and is currently serving as a Professor. He has also held visiting positions at prestigious institutions, including the University of Texas at Austin (2014-2015), Michigan State University (2011), and the Tokyo University of Science (2010). His research focuses on the behavior and design of steel structures, fire structural engineering, and materials, and he has received several accolades, such as the Huang's Youth Innovation Award (2014) and the Excellent PhD Thesis Award from Shanghai (2010). He has also been recognized as an Excellent Young Teacher at Chongqing University (2012). Actively involved in professional organizations, he serves as a council or committee member for various associations, including the China Steel Structure Association, China Fire Fighting Association, and China Civil Engineering Association.
Jie Yang is a Distinguished Professor in Mechanical and Automotive Engineering at RMIT University, specializing in advanced composite structures, nanocomposites, structural stability and dynamics, smart structures, and nano/micro-mechanics. With over 440 publications, including 350 journal papers, he is a Highly Cited Researcher (Cross Field) from 2019 to 2023 and has been recognized as Australia's Research Field Leader in Mechanical Engineering (2019-2023), Structural Engineering (2021), and Acoustics & Sound (2023). Prof. Yang serves as Lead Editor-in-Chief of Engineering Structures and holds editorial roles in several prestigious journals. His accolades include the Best Paper Award at ICES2024, the Shanghai Science and Technology Award (2019), and the JSPS Postdoctoral Fellowship (2002).
