My story was inspired by a wild dream I had. As I began to write, my hero--Celeste--grew into someone I wanted to travel with, and her challenges became more exciting as I started each new page.

A flying, talking frog, talking animals, a mountain spirit, a spooky sand castle, children with unique superpowers and a malicious shapeshifter all keep Celeste on her toes--and in the air--as she attempts to find out what happened to her parents. When a mountain spirit challenges her to save the remaining survivors from a constantly growing body of stinking ooze after a mysterious cataclysmic event shattered their world, she questions her ability. Nevertheless, she grows as the challenges grow, and discovers many new things along the way.

Writing fantasy adventure is a new thing for me, and I love it. I'm working on the next book in the series and know it will be at least as exciting as the first! Many questions you'll have will be answered as the plot thickens with new challenges for the characters. I hope you will let me know what you think of my story and characters, and contact me with any questions you might have about this book or any others I've written.

As a past English teacher, I included an extensive glossary at the end of this book. I've known many students interested in expanding their vocabulary, and I believe that learning new words by reading exciting literature is a great way to accomplish that goal! I hope you agree.
