Welcome to the stage, Antiques Road Trip newcomer but antique dealer extraordinaire Danny Sebastian. In the first round of this trip, around Kent, Danny’s buckling up for his battle with queen of porcelain, Derbyshire dealer and auctioneer, Irita Marriott. Danny plumps for a pair of silver dogs, a jewellery box and a fruit knife, while Irita takes home not one but two tea sets and some antique door knockers. Will Danny be full of beginner's luck, or will Irita wipe the floor with his gorgeous neckerchiefs?

Whizzing around the West Country in an all-electric 1965 Beetle, there are plenty of rootin’ tootin’ antics – mind your ears though, it’s going to get loud with these two!  With Danny determined to win at auction, and Irita refusing to relinquish her crown, they both make risky purchases, Irita with some age-old glasses, and Danny with an exceptionally large railway platform bench. Will Danny be derailed, or will Irita’s glasses stand the test of time and attract the bidders she is hoping for in the saleroom?

Irita Marriott and Danny Sebastian are zipping around Oxfordshire in their all-electric 1965 powder blue Beetle. Amongst the usual singing and dancing and general hijinks, Danny finds time to buy a selection of antiques, including a doggie vesta case and an Archibald Knox-designed Liberty vase. Irita snuffles around in every dealer’s dream - an unsorted jewellery box - and unearths a rather special necklace. Our gal satisfies her addiction to porcelain with yet another delightful tea set. A real mixed bag of goodies from both road trippers ensures a rollicking romp around town and dale.

Danny grabs a great big cider flagon, a delicate 19th-century ormolu trinket box and a natty hat stand. Danny also does Danny, with the usual hijinks, including singing, playing a piano and having a go on a kids’ scooter. Irita is playing it super-cool and is slow to part with her cash, but she finally revs up to dish out the dosh on a variety of goodies, including a pewter plate she adores and a small, cold-painted dog.

The trip concludes with our pair beetling around Dover and the south east in an electric 1965 Volkswagen. In Deal, Irita is straight out the trap, spending big on her first shop, but will it cost her as the leg continues?  And will Danny’s punt on a job lot of die-cast cars in Dover pay off, putting him on the road to victory?
