HCLSoftware has released CAMWorks ShopFloor 2026 SP0. This software provides state-of-the-art digital tools for machinists to leverage digital machining data in part models, reducing errors and improving communication between CNC programmers and shop floor machinists.

CAMWorks 2026 brings many enhancements, but the feature highlight is easily the Swiss machining environment. Innovative new features like the Segmentation Manager ensure that Swiss machines' unique workholding technology is used to the maximum for the best possible material removal rates and surface finish quality. CAMWorks 2026 brought machine-aware programming & simulation right into the SOLIDWORKS client. This means that even Swiss machines can be simulated within SOLIDWORKS with checks for machine collision and kinematics.

CAMWorks ShopFloor provides an interactive environment that machinists can use to fully understand all the machining instructions a part requires. The software allows simulation of the toolpath, information about fixturing, tooling lists, and more. In the past, Setup Sheets were the best deliverable engineers and programmers could provide to machinists to assist in CNC programming of parts. But now CAMWorks provides a more powerful solution with ShopFloor. Machinists will no longer be limited to printed drawings, but rather a single file that contains all information they need. Also, all this functionality can be achieved on a non-workstation computer, requiring very little investment on the hardware side.
