MultiBoot 2k10 7.40 Unofficial
#1
[Image: Multi-Boot3.png]

Program version: 7.40 Unofficial
Developer : conty9 / korsak7 / Viktor Kisel
Interface language: En

Treatment: not required (the installer has already been treated)

System requirements:
Computer with 128Mb RAM or higher, CD/DVD drive or USB interface.

Description:
A multiboot system administrator's disk based on the BOOTMGR (Windows 8.1), Isolinux/Syslinux v.4.06, and Grub4Dos v.0.4.6a bootloaders. The disk consists of a large number of products, united by a shell, with the ability to boot from CD/DVD, USB Flash Drive, USB-HDD, and a regular HDD. Its main purpose is to prepare the HDD, install the OS (with the ability to install Win 2000/XP/2003/Vista/7 - WinNTSetup utilities, installation packages are not included!), create/deploy system images, restore/copy data, resuscitate the operating system and restore boot, clean the OS from viruses/Trojans and blockers/porn banners, test the main PC components, and much more. Network support with Internet access and multimedia support are available. It is possible to use most of the programs from the assembly as "portable" (they are not fully portable, they are simply self-extracting into a TEMP directory with automatic registration) and a convenient way to connect the software assembly package for use in a regular OS or other PE assemblies.

Installing Windows XP/7/8/10 from a build
The assembly provides various methods for installing Windows.
Some installation methods, including those using add-ons, are described in the 2k10\GRUB4DOS\WINXP.txt file, as well as in 2k10\Programs-2k10\-Help-\2k10-FAQ.chm. Let's look at one of them.
Installing Windows 7/8/10 from a flash drive from the _WIN\ folder
To do this, place the Windows OS installation distributions in the appropriate folders:
_WIN,_ISO, 2k10\User.WindS - for unpacked distributions.
_WIN,_ISO, 2k10\User.Image - for disk images.
Download and unzip the ~2k10-WIN7-10~ addon to your flash drive/HDD.
The _WIN\ folder of the addon must be in the root of the bootable flash drive/HDD.
The _WIN\ folder with Windows installation files/images can be located separately in the root of any disk/partition of your HDD/USB-HDD.
file from your Windows 7/8/8.1/10 (x32/x64) image from the Sources folder Extract the install.wim/install.esd/install.swm to the appropriate add-on subfolder according to your Windows 7/8/10 edition:

For Windows 7 x86 ---> _WIN\7x32 folder
For Windows 7 x64 ---> _WIN\7x64 folder
For Windows 7 x86-x64 ---> _WIN\7AIO folder
for Windows 8 x86 ---> folder _WIN\8132
For Windows 8 x64 ---> _WIN\8164 folder
For Windows 8 x86-x64 ---> _WIN\8AIO folder
for Windows 10 x86 ---> folder _WIN\1032
For Windows 10 x64 ---> _WIN\1064 folder
for Windows 10 x86-x64---> folder _WIN\10AIO

If any, upload the $OEM$ folder and the unattend.xml file (relevant for Windows builds).
The addon will appear automatically in the Grub4Dos -> "DOS-installation of Windows" menu/submenu.
It is also listed in the BCD menu and EFI BCD menu.

These subfolders are specified in the installation launch scripts in boot8x86.wim and boot8x64.wim. If you don't have enough of these subfolders, you can use their example to add your own subfolders (with your own names) for your Windows distributions and then launch additional installations using the 78Setup or WinNTSetup utility. After adding the installation file install.wim/install.esd/install.swm to these folders, enter the name of your installation in the text file install.wim.txt/install.esd.txt/install.swm.txt. These names will be displayed in the list in the 78Setup utility window.
Other installation files install.wim/install.esd/install.swm (which, for example, are located in a completely different folder on a completely different partition or disk) can be selected and launched in the utility window using the button: "Select archive manually".
Add your installation disk images (.iso) to the _WIN,_ISO, 2k10\User.Image folder, and these images will be displayed in the list in the 78Setup utility window. Other images can be selected, mounted, and launched in the utility window using the "Select image manually" button.

Note:
For Windows installations, two bootloaders are used: boot8x86.wim and boot8x64.wim
Using the (x86) bootloader, Windows of any bit depth can be installed from any subfolder (only in Legacy BIOS boot mode).
Using the (x64) bootloader, only (x64)-bit Windows is installed (in Legacy BIOS boot mode and in EFI/UEFI boot mode).
In EFI/UEFI boot mode, using the boot8x64.wim bootloader, it is possible to install only (x64)-bit Windows and only on a disk with GPT partitioning.
If you do not need to install in EFI/UEFI boot mode, then you can use only the (x86) boot8x86.wim bootloader for all installations.
Differences from the original assembly
The unofficial version differs from the original in design and content (some utilities the author considers redundant for the build have been added /removed from the original version or were not included/), Linux utilities are retained, the set of DOS utilities is slightly different, a gopher menu is present, and games are removed from WinPE builds. The unofficial version also typically includes all the author's updates (at the time of the unofficial build).
Acknowledgments
To the author conty9 for kindly providing assistance in updating his Multiboot 2k10 DVD/USB/HDD build to the current version.
