• Win10... • Home • Pro
• Win8.x... • Core • Pro
• Win7..... • Starter • Home Basic • Home Premium • Pro • Ultimate
• Vista..... • Starter • Home Basic • Home Premium • Business • Ultimate

Objective - add $oem$ folder to .iso /usb.
• $oem$ method can be used to apply activation & manufacturer brand to your Win10 • Win 8.x • Win 7 • Vista '.iso'/usb
• NOTE:- PC needs (Win8.x and Win10 'OEM-DM' • Win7 '2.1 slic' • Vista '2.0 slic') bios to apply genuine oem activation.
• Project includes optional Telemetry disabling, (WinTel.cmd), for all supported OS's and adds domains to block through Route commands.
• Optional Retail activation method via online, if needed.

How To

Win8.x|Win10
Place the downloaded '$oem$' folder in the 'sources' folder of your 'clean' iso, and add custom 'ei.cfg' file to the same 'sources' folder and edit|save iso. Windows will install the edition identified from 'ei.cfg' file. (Project 'Options' folder includes 'ei.cfg' instructions). OOBE.cmd will call tool that will extract embedded 'OEM-DM' key from bios (if exists), and apply the serial during installation.

Win7
Place the downloaded '$oem$' folder in the 'sources' folder of your 'clean' iso, and delete the 'ei.cfg' file from the same 'sources' folder and edit|save iso... during install you will have option to select the edition of 'Win7' you want installed (ie. Starter • Home Basic • Home Premium • Pro • Ultimate)... if you don't delete 'ei.cfg' file, that's OK, just means Ultimate will install by default.

Vista
Place the downloaded '$oem$' folder in the 'sources' folder of your 'clean' iso, and delete the 'PID.txt' file (if exists) from the same 'sources' folder and edit|save iso... during install you will have option to select the edition of 'Vista' you want installed (ie. Starter • Home Basic • Home Premium • Business • Ultimate)... if you don't delete 'PID.txt' file, that's OK, just means serial used on that file will determine edition installed.

• Please read the 'readme' files included in the download folder, for additional information.
• "UltraISO" recommended to edit|save your .iso, preserving 'bootable' image.

Whats New

31th Jan 2025 159.0
=========

Due to some issues with using the 'Silent Mode' for MRP for the time being it has been disabled, mainly because
users can accidently reboot the device before MRP has fully completed and a possible mess up of the OS as some
tweaks etc may not of been set in time. Have disabled the option in the ConfigCreator program and in MRP v159.
--
Split the Smartscreen option into two, one to just disable it and the other to disable and remove it. Note that
a SFC action could results in smartscreen.exe returning although if the option to disable/remove it should be
blocked from sending anything out.
--
Fixed a couple of areas where i missed using Powershell alternative to WMIC where required. This should address
any missing data lines in the log or in a routine that may need the alternative data.
--
Fixed cleanup routine to remove temporary defender exclusions for MRP.
--
Fixed small issue with a a telemetry item within the Prevent Telemetry option's code which could cause the windows Firewall to not show
any notifications. This seemed only affected the Binisoft/Malwarebytes WFC front end. SphinxSoft's firewall etc was ok.
--
The Disable 'F1 Online Help' option seems to no longer work, this is due to changes in the OS since a few CU's ago from what i can gather.
--
The set all explorer windows to 'GroupBy None' is no longer working properly on Windows 11, i think this is due to the explorer shell
itself that has been rewritten. Will see if i can work out how to adjust it again for windows 11 installs. Seems ok on w10 for now.
--
Fixed the KMS check Pshell issue that would not return the value correctly under oobe when WMIC.exe is not available.
--
Removed the disable F1Help option as it no longer working.
--
Updated Creator to remove the above F1Help option.
--
Updated the remove copilot/recall ai option code.
--
Updated MRP protected files section, now protects MRP files if UserTweaks.cmd, Wintel.cmd is detected too.
--
When a LTSx build is detected then the reduce/prevent telemetry option is set to be far less aggressive as there
are reports of other issues. As these Editions have 'more user control' over the telemetry than 'other' builds then
it is up to the user to set their own parameters for this.
--
Added a switch option in the creator (General Tab) to allow MRP to log information if MAS, KMS etc type 'other' scripts
are detected. By default this option is unset to not show that information. If selected then MRP will add into the
project's log if those files was detected, or not, within the Scripts folder. Logging is just for your notes and MRP
does NOT run those scripts.

When the option set to yes MRP will look for these 'other' scripts

Mas_ЧЧЧЧ.cmd
Kms_xxxx.cmd
Hwidxxxx.cmd

MRP will look for the above option within the MRPConfig.ini file and the oobe.cmd one will be ignored.
--
Adjusted code for hopefully getting spotlight to work on w10/11...
Leave UnSet, (don't tick), the option 'Disable Cloud Optimized Content Icons For Taskbar' in the creator , found on the
[Win 1x {2}] tab at the forth line up from the bottom on the left side, this will set a switch to hopefully allow the
Spotlight part to work. If this fails to allow spotlight, (Rolling Content), then sadly i cannot fix this easily as the
code is very integrated and not a simple task to rewrite several sections.

Spotlight on win 10/11 can be hit and miss, although i have done everything possible, (apart from a total rewrite in some
areas), to get Spotlight to work. The option to *NOT* select/tick/check is the one for 'Disable Cloud Optimized Content
Icons For Taskbar' as this has the 'switch' to not touch the Spotlight area in the registry or group policy as it all
connected to that cloud content as we know m$ have added most apps together and it seems some tweaks no longer work for
individual things now too. Still cannot guarantee not using this option will let Spotlight function fully as a total
rewrite in some sections would be needed and it will delay MRP 159 release even more. It is on the todo list. Note that
adverts and other things may/will sneak within windows when cloud content is allowed and maybe some extra telemetry too!
--
Added note to the project log when installing with Vista or Server 2008 that Branding and Activation may no longer
operate correctly.
--
Added more checks for the enable network adaptors option to try twice on each attempt.
--
Added extra details in the debug log for early on before the main option settings are done.
--
Added the 'Skip memory checks' option to allow MRP it not check RAM to prevent errors/crashes. Found on Extras tab in yellow.
--
Removed the option 'Hide chevron' and replaced with 'Remove {Spotlight} info about...' icon from the desktop in win11.

Updated MRPConfigCreator_v63.xx to reflect the above changes.
--
Added new Win 11 only option: Expand Date on the system clock. This sets the date to be full instead of a shortend one.
--
Updated the code for the 'Remove/Hide Home or[Start] icon' from the File Explorer's navigation pane for windows 11.

Updated the code for the 'Remove/Hide Gallery icon' from the File Explorer's navigation pane for windows 11.

The above two w11 options have been updated as i had reports that those would either not hide or would then come back
after a Cumulative Update. It may only have happened on insider builds but it may get added into the current win 11 at
some point in the future. Hopefully this will hide those icons by default now when the options are selected.
