To that end, this course covers a brief overview of the origin of the word shaman, historical evidence of the existence of early healers, and the difference between spiritualism, spirituality, shamanism, and religion and what the traditional world's religions offered. Important to a broad understanding of shamanism is its concept of a worldview called the Axis Mundi and what that entails. Examples of Mongolian shamanism include the Black, White, and Yellow shaman, and their roles provide different cultural views. Four ways one can implement a natural sense of spirituality, the use of specific crystals, essential oils, and sound are provided to help enhance one's spirituality. Directions for creating a sacred space and an altar for group and for private participation are given. The course ends with a ceremony for healing the Spirit and two very special blessings. At some point after the course ends, participants will need some crystals, essential oils, and a recording of sounds of drumming, flute, and or rattles as they create their own sacred spiritual place.
