Requirements
Previous yoga teaching experience preferred. If you want to take all 5 modules and receive the Yoga Corrective Exercise Specialist Certification, you must be RYT 200 with Yoga Alliance or a Certified Yoga Therapist with IAYT

Description
In this module you are introduced to the foundational FYT Method for safe yoga practice entitled: BAMA (Breath, Awareness, MoStility and Alignment. You also are instructed in the application of YAPS (Yoga Asana Practice Screen) a 5-15 minute screening tool to assess the yoga student's capacities to participate in a yoga practice.You will learn:• How to incorporate the principles of BAMA into the yoga practice to keep your student safe and efficient in addressing movement and movement impairments.• To quickly assess general core stability and flexibility of a prospective yoga student• To provide the yoga student with recommendations for modifications to their asanas with the use of appropriate props or pose variations to accommodate any musculoskeletal limitations.• To provide recommendations for specific asanas to address any limitations in flexibility or core strength• To give the student a "take home" chart of recommendations so they can incorporate them easily into a home practice or practice in another settingThis Module can be taken as a stand alone course or as a part of the 5 modules in the Yoga Corrective Exercise Specialist Program with FitYogaTherapy.  Enhance your skills as a yoga teacher or yoga therapist. Help your students who have musculoskeletal and pain issues to enhance their yoga practice so they can move more easefully. This course earns 6 Yoga Alliance CEUS and 4 IAYT CEU's .If you want to complete the full certification, take all 5 modules, complete the homework assignments and become a Certified Yoga Corrective Exercise Specialist!  The full certification will earn you 30 Yoga Alliance CEU's and 25 IAYT CEU's.
