The soaring temperatures make Izzie plump for some cast-iron garden furniture. Her collection also includes a very delicate, sugar-pink teacup trio. The bamboo king, James, is true to form, grabbing a beloved table made from the blessed woody plant. It truly is his not-so-guilty pleasure. A sparkling arts-and-crafts-style star and some mystery boxes also fill up his swag bag of goodies. And for a lovely breather, we step into the glorious Shrewsbury countryside to learn all about the town’s 19th-century boating club and the noble art of rowing. Lest we forget, this is a competition with the heat very much turned to max. Who will win round three?

Super-chilled James channels his inner guru, showing off his breathing exercises. It works wonders for your decision-making powers, apparently. Amongst his bevy of buys, he scoops up a handsome portrait, a lovely jug and a diamond ring. A true Dr Dolittle, he also makes friends with some cows and a lovely pooch. Izzie zones into her specialist field of jewellery, collecting earrings, a brooch and a lovely little box of Regency gaming counters. Our gal also does a stretch at the oldest prison in the world in Shepton Mallet. Don’t worry. She was released for good behaviour just in time to join the auction and find out which of the dastardly duo will clinch victory.

It’s the final leg of a week-long road trip, with antiques legend James Braxton and gemology whizz Izzie Balmer going head-to-head in the final decider. As they chug their way through the West Country in their 1949 Morris Minor, they have £200 each to splurge on antiques along the south coast of England. They’ll be stopping in at Liskeard, Plymouth, Ashburton and Kingsbridge along the way. Izzie stumbles across a teacup that holds over 250 years of history, while James finds himself in a fluster as he uncovers a rather risqué glass hiding a woman with her derrière on show. The stage is set for a nail-biting auction finale. Who will walk away as the champion?
