All four chefs must then present their two course signature menu.

The second batch of this week's professionals set out to prove themselves. The first two chefs take on a daunting skills test in which they will need to balance strong flavours, while the next pair need to be show their flair at pastry work. They then have 90 minutes to deliver their signature menu - a main course and dessert that illustrate what makes them tick and proves them to be a real contender for the title.

It's the second quarter-final of the series, which will see the best competitors don their chef whites to compete for a place in knockout week. They face an invention test with a difference, having to create a dish that includes tonight's mystery ingredient - garlic.
