Peculiarities:
Send to tray: Send your favorite apps to the system tray to keep your workspace clutter-free!

App support: Ideal for Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) and (most) apps that haven't received notifications about notification area support.
Quick Actions: Quickly send an app to the system tray by right-clicking on the minimize or close buttons.
Windows Compatible: Tested on Windows 10 and 11 with push notification support.
Light as a feather: completely portable and extremely lightweight.
Getting Started
Start by downloading Trayy to see the magic inside!

Make sure Trayy.exe and hook.dll are in the same folder. Windows Defender may issue a false positive, but fear not! Trayy is harmless and open-source

(VirusTotal report) . Launch the application to get the party started.

Time to choose your superpowers:
Send to tray also on close: Even if you press the X button, your app will just stay in the tray.
Don't show on taskbar: Your app will become a true hide-and-seek champion by staying completely outside the taskbar.

Now list your favorite apps (case sensitive).
Trayy will monitor all process names in Task Manager that match your entries. For example, if you have Notepad.exe, you'll need to add Notepad to the list.

For web apps, Trayy will search browser tab titles that contain the string you specify. For example, WhatsApp Web. Use distinctive keywords to avoid accidental matches!

Got an app (like Thunderbird) that's not working? Switch the capture mode from standard to graphical. Trayy uses a special detection method, monitoring clicks in the upper-right corner of the title bar, so even complex apps can be easily hidden!

Please note: Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps (such as those from the Microsoft Store) have their own behavior and are not supported by Trayy.

Click "Save" and voila! Depending on your settings, the apps you selected will be neatly tucked away in the system tray.

Tap an icon in the notification area to bring the corresponding app to the screen. If it's already in focus, it will automatically disappear from the notification area. This way, you can quickly browse your app list without interrupting your workflow!

Need to hide an app for a moment? Right-click the "Minimize" button to temporarily hide it from the notification area. Right-click the "X" button to permanently add the app to the Trayy app list.
