Dimmer is a utility plugin used to smoothly dim your monitoring setup in reaction to a sidechain signal, especially useful for studio engineers using a talkback mic and a monitoring speaker. Simply sidechain your talkback mic into Dimmer to stop feeding people's voices back to them.

For help setting it up, take a look here.

Since Dimmer works with your DAW's sidechain and a threshold, it can also be used for ducking music under voiceover and for remote collaboration when using a speaker and talkback mic.
