DESCRIPTION:
Warhammer 40,000: Gladius - Relics of War will plunge you into a world of terror and violence. Four factions will participate in a brutal war for dominance over the resources of the planet.
This is the first 4 turn strategy game in the Warhammer 40,000 universe! In it you will be able to lead one of four factions: Astra Militarum, Space Marines, Orcs and Necrons, each with its own unique gameplay, technology tree, units and heroes.
Challenge the AI, or you can team up or fight with your friends and strangers around the world.
Gladius Prime was known among Imperial scientists to be rich in archaeological finds. During its colonization, ancient relics were found hinting at the planet's shrouded past. The finds turned out to be something more than relics. A terrible echo of the ancient past has awakened, and the inhabitants of Gladius are embroiled in a deadly war for survival.
Gladius Prime was once a peaceful planet. Now it's just war.

New units join the battle!
Reinforcements arrive on the battlefield as the battle reaches its climax. Commanders of four armies battle for control of Gladius Prime and send their best troops into battle to tip the scales in their favor. But a treacherous new enemy lurks in the shadows: it has waited its time and is now ready to strike...
The Replenishment Pack brings five new units to the battlefields of Gladius Prime!
One new unit for each faction, plus one for the neutrals, adds new content to the battle and expands the strategic options available to commanders.
Scions of Tempestus (Astra Militarum)
The Scions of Militarum Tempestus are often viewed with apprehension and hidden enmity by regular troops. Common nicknames are 'Glory Boys' and 'Big Toy Soldiers'. But this malevolence means nothing to the Scions themselves. Trained in covert operations and quick strike tactics, they go into battle confident that their every action is for the good of the Imperium.
Immortals (Necrons)
Even before their transformation, the Immortals were the elite soldiers of the Necrontyr and led their galactic conquest. Infused with tireless metallic bodies, they are now the shock troops of every army in the Tomb Worlds. Where Necron Warriors are only fodder for the enemy's cannons, Immortals, much more valuable to their Overlords, will only be deployed to perform essential tasks. Heavily armed and armored, they will stop at nothing to achieve their masters' goals. They often spearhead any decisive offensive or crushing counterattack.
Pontorez (Orcs)
They are the richest and most vile of their warlike breed. Pontorez travel the galaxy, engaging in acts of dastardly piracy and wanton vandalism. They are hired as mercenaries by Orc gangs, enjoying the envy of the Boys, who are jealous of their luxurious array of stunning daccas. Despite their boasting, the Pontorez give their all to the Warboss who pays them. They are deadly in skirmishes, landings on the planet and the like - a gang of Pontorezov opening fire is nothing but the elements. A deafening hail of energy bolts and bullets flashes through the air, long-range spatters of blood and flashes of explosions fill the battlefield until the Pontorezers trample the remaining enemies.
Land Raider (Space Marine)
The ground trembles and enemies scatter in fear as the mighty Land Raider advances across the battlefield. The heavy, unstoppable, noble war machine smashes through the wall and grinds its remnants with caterpillars while the fragments of the structure formed after the explosion drum on its armor. Beams of white-hot energy slam into enemy tanks, punch through their armored hulls, and turn them into blazing fireballs. Bolts flying with a dull thud into the flesh of the enemy, before exploding, spray clouds of blood of the victim. The death toll increases with every passing moment as the Land Raider advances through the war zone, culminating as its assault ramp collapses and its Adeptus Astartes passengers join the carnage.
Neophyte Hybrids (Neutrals)
Each cultist is agile and strong - throughout their lives they are engaged in hard work. Their physical strength and reactions are enhanced by foreign genes lurking within them. Neophyte hybrids have no outward signs of the sacred touch of the Patriarch; as their tribal leaders say, their blessed souls are greater than their bodies. These third and fourth generation hybrids can be very human - some are even cunning enough to infiltrate the ranks of the Astra Militarum. When the cult goes on the attack, these Neophytes show their true colors. They are selected from sewer pipes, catacombs.
