The Bat! is a universally recognized system for processing electronic messages, which perfectly combines all the qualities necessary for an experienced user. The intuitive interface allows users of The Bat! start working immediately after installation. An efficient filtering and sorting mechanism helps to handle huge volumes of incoming mail that other programs cannot handle. System administrators will appreciate the ability to install in batch mode, which allows you to personally control the installation process of The Bat!. All these features, along with fully customizable automated processing tools, relieve users of routine work.
In The Bat! v9.0, updated spelling dictionaries are available, performance and stability of the program have increased.
Filtration. The built-in Mail Sorter is used to process correspondence, which automatically distributes incoming, outgoing, read and processed mail into the appropriate folders. Setting sorting rules will take only a few minutes, after which you can forever forget about manually shifting letters from folder to folder.
Automatic message processing. The aforementioned Mail Sorter allows you to automate message processing: set up auto-reply, launch an external application, add recipients to the address book, export or archive messages, extract attached files, and much more.
Templates. The Bat! not only can add a signature to the message, but also allows you to create email templates using a great variety of special macros. Any mailbox, folder, or recipient can have their own template for a new letter, reply, or forward. The use of templates can significantly speed up the preparation of mail, especially when the letter includes standard or frequently repeated text.
Quick Templates. Quick templates allow you to automate the process of creating letters and save working time by inserting pre-typed text into the letter. If every day you have to answer the same questions in emails, you will appreciate these templates. In quick templates, as well as in regular ones, a complete set of macros is available, allowing you to set any, even the most complex sequence of actions.
mailing lists. The message filtering system is so powerful that it allows using The Bat! a mailing list where members can add or remove themselves from the list themselves.
Unique parking feature. With the help of parking, you can pin an email to a specific folder and protect it from accidental deletion or movement. You will never lose an important letter if you park it in the right folder.
Backup. All program settings, address books and mail folders can be saved in a separate file and then restored from a backup copy in case of unwanted changes in information or data loss. Efficient encryption. PGP's internal implementation, based on the widely recognized OpenSSL mechanism, allows you to encrypt messages and digitally sign them. A handy digital key manager is included. Free add-ons for PGP v5.5, v6.0.2, 6.5, v7.x & v8.x GnuPG are also supported. In addition, The Bat! works with S/MIME via Internal Implementation or Microsoft CryptoAPI. The Bat! is the first email client to support S/MIME data compression. The Bat! works with Secure Socket Layer (SSL) v3.1 / Transport Layer Security (TLS) v1.0 with AES algorithm.
Mail synchronization. You can synchronize the contents of multiple instances of The Bat!. Mail synchronization allows you to maintain two copies of The Bat! in the same condition. You can selectively save settings for mailboxes, folders, address books, and attachments.
Compatibility with Microsoft Exchange. The Bat! connects to Microsoft Exchange servers using the MAPI protocol to call or send messages. You only need to install Microsoft Office Outlook or a Microsoft Exchange client to provide the Exchange connectivity components that The Bat! will use. (Only 32-bit versions of programs can be used to connect.)

The Bat! works correctly with all encodings, including all Russian and Eastern European ones: KOI8-R, Windows-1251, DOS, ISO, etc. A flexible system of settings allows you to set your own encodings for each mailbox and each recipient. The address book. The address book contains a list of your recipients. You can combine them into groups for classification, or for using the addresses as a mailing list, i.e. send an email to all group members at once. You can attach a photo to each address entry, specify personal data, information about the place of work, letter templates for this addressee, a list of the subscriber's S / MIME certificates, as well as the default encoding. In The Bat! 4.0 and later versions, there is an Address History option that allows you to view and quickly find any message from any of the correspondents.
Interface in 12 languages. The Bat! allows you to change the interface language "on the fly", without restarting the program.
Image viewer module. The Bat! equipped with its own image viewer. This means that accessing embedded images is much faster than accessing through an external application. Users can switch between all images attached to an email. The module supports rotation, resizing and scaling algorithms, full screen mode.
Request forms. Forms are a tool for generating requests that are subject to automatic processing. The request form is designed to remotely access and manage information offline, while maintaining security requirements.
