Split splits the incoming signal into two streams at a selected intersection point: the lower frequencies are processed using the Safe Bass function to enhance the sound, while the higher frequencies are subjected to various effects to add texture and depth. Each section has independent gain control, and you can choose the transition slope yourself.
The Safe Bass component is designed to preserve and enhance the sound of your bass tracks. It includes a compressor and amplifier that enhance the clarity and power of your bass lines for a powerful sound in the mix. In addition, it allows stereo to mono conversion, ensuring bass integrity and uniformity across different playback platforms.
After splitting, Bassrift fires up the highs with a three-stage effects section. Each module can select from four effects and is easily controlled by two knobs for maximum speed. The order of the modules can be changed at your discretion.
In the Flow section of BassRift, you can give your bass lines exciting modulation effects (chorus, flute, wobble, and phase). With just two buttons "Amount" you can adjust the intensity of your chosen effect, and "Rate" - its speed. From subtle choruses to swirling phasers, craft your sound with ease and precision, effortlessly adding depth and movement to your tracks.
The extensive area of the "Space" section is designed to create atmospheric textures. The Amount knob allows you to adjust the intensity of the selected effect, while the Time knob determines its duration. Whether you want ethereal reverbs, delays, resonant comb filters or mesmerizing reverses, the Space section is here to add depth and dimension to your bass.
The hot part of BassRift is where the raw energy meets the hardness of the sound. Set the intensity of your chosen type of distortion with the "Amount" control, and give it character and texture with "Dirt". Whether you're looking for the aggressive edge of Crush, Trash, the warm richness of Tube, or the harmoniously rich folds of Fold distortion, the Heat section makes it easy to add depth, edge, and expression to your basslines.
The "Merge" section combines previously separated signals into a single whole. Use the EQ module with high- and low-pass filters to reproduce bass frequencies with surgical precision for clarity and focus. Then use the power of the Maximizer to maximize the potential of your bass lines, giving every note expressiveness, presence, and impact.
The gain automatically compensates and quickly adapts to the current settings and ensures the output is the same volume as the input. It even relieves you of the idea that something sounds better. In some cases the sound is simply louder.
The plugin's photorealistic graphical user interface gives you the feeling that you are touching real hardware. But it is easily adaptable to your needs. You can always drag the arrow in the bottom right corner to resize it - make it smaller to save screen space, or larger to make it easier to use.
