Description:
WorldWide Telescope is a unique program from Microsoft Corporation that turns your personal computer into a powerful virtual 3D telescope, with the help of which distant and unattainable stars, constellations, planets will become much closer. The user will have at their disposal more than 13,000 detailed images of Mars, as well as a huge number of images of the starry sky and the surfaces of the planets of the solar system, photographs of which were obtained thanks to the Hubble Space Telescope and about 10 telescopes located on the Earth's surface. In addition, there is the ability to view images in different wavelength ranges, track the position of space objects at different times, and much more.
The developers of this telescope literally collected and combined several terabytes of images that scientists around the world managed to obtain using the most powerful space telescopes located in various observatories.

The program has several modes of operation, displaying:
Sky (a magnificent representation of a spherical starry sky, as seen through telescopes installed in centers for the study of space objects),
Earth (again, it has several modes: 3D Earth, Night View, Hybrid),
Planet mode (some volumetric models of planets, satellites are presented),
Panoramas (exclusive high-resolution panoramic images obtained by means of research vehicles),
Solar system. A mode in which the user will be able to see the most studied objects of our solar system. Planets, their satellites and even see our Galaxy from the outside.
Please note that the operation of the telescopes requires a reliable broadband Internet connection to download huge graphic files that will be uploaded during the survey of planets and other objects in the Galaxy. You also need ASCOM Platform 6.6SP1 to control telescopes (the installer is included with the distribution).
