Health benefits : help one to focus, lower blood pressure, develop a sense of calm, gain leg strength, flexibility and balance. The seated posture helps to develop strength in one's core as one sits upright without leaning on the back of the chair. It is easier to learn the movements first in a chair. The eye hand coordination is strengthened as well as synchronizing the upper limbs and lower limbs together. Synchronizing the movements is a more advanced teaching, but crucial in learning the correct way from the beginning. The main warm up which is taught in the beginning will help one gain more flexibility and coordination which is crucial for balance. A complete practice video is provided for those who might find it difficult to stand at this time. That video will also include a warm up which will incorporate many of the smaller warm ups shown during some of the lessons. Of course the entire Tai Chi 8 form seated in a chair will be reviewed as a practice video for students. The foot work for turning side to side will be taught and each posture will be repeated three times. At the end of that section there will be videos showing the entire form from the side, front and back. The student will have a firm foundation of the Tai Chi 8 form taught for health, coordination and balance. They will have life time access to review the form for life. Who this course is for: This course is for anyone wanting to improve their health especially balance, also for those interested in learning a simplified Tai Chi form which takes up little room to do.
