Description:
Transmission is free software, mostly licensed under the GNU GPL with small parts under the MIT license.
Transmission, unlike many other BitTorrent clients, uses a small amount of system resources. The project aims to create a client with useful functionality, without frills. For this reason, Transmission is less functional than other clients. Keeping the interface simple and intuitive across all platforms is a key design goal.
Windows users, in addition to the Qt interface, can now choose to install the Daemon, command line tools and the web interface. This will allow access to the client, for example, through a web browser, Transmission Remote GUI or remotely.
