Indirect system- Fixed Weight SystemIn this system Count is no. Of units of length per unit weight of yarn.2. Direct system - Fixed Length SystemIn this system Count is no. of units of weight per unit length of yarn.3. Universal System -Ø TEX is universal system.Ø It is Direct system introduced by ISO.Ø Useful for natural as well as synthetic fibers.Ø Used for fiber to yarnØ Finess of fiber is expressed in militex - Wt. Of fiber in mg in one km lengthØ Fineness of ropes, cords & twines expressed in kilotex.Count of Folded / Plied yarns: Single yarns are made into ply by twisting in order to increase strength.
