Description : Emerald 2 is based in part on the unrivaled processors created in Germany between the 1960s and 1970s, known for their unique designs.
The Emerald filter expands on its big brother's filtering section, offering low-pass and high-pass filter cells with selectable slopes, starting at 6 dB/octave and going up to an extraordinary 36 dB/octave. It also includes the same preamp stage as the EQ from the same set of plugins.
Personally, I found the sound of the equalizers and especially the preamps incredible.
Add. information : No installation required, just unpack the "emerald" folder into the vst3 plugins folder.
Introducing Emerald 2: Inspired by Vintage German Processors
Emerald filter
The Emerald filter is part of the Emerald 2 and takes inspiration from the exceptional processors created in Germany in the 1960s and 1970s. It expands on the filtration capabilities found in its larger counterpart. Low-pass and high-pass filter cells can be used to adjust the slope from a smooth 6 dB/octave to a funky 36 dB/octave. It also includes the same preamp stage as the plugin suite's EQ.
Emerald E200 equalizer
The Emerald 2 E200 is a dual mono equalizer emulation modeled after the famous German parametric equalizer. It features a preamp stage and seven individually switchable filters. These filters can be finely tuned, from narrow notches to wide bell-shaped curves. You can also control the gain over a range of +/-12dB, adjust the bass and treble, and use low/high pass filters with a steep 36dB/octave slope. This equalizer has been popular with top audio engineers and famous bands such as Pink Floyd in the past, making it a versatile solution for a variety of audio needs.
