After a judge passes away under suspicious circumstances, Kim Wheeler, an attorney who is appointed as a judge for Nevada's 5th district after the former judge's death, finds herself covering a circuit that stretches between Las Vegas and Reno - a rugged, often desolate area where anything and everything can happen.
