Advance Steel is a steel design application integrated into the latest version AutoCAD. The Advance Steel model is the basis of 3D design. It contains and manages structural steel objects (for example, beams, plates, bolts, welds), as well as structural elements and the relationships of objects to each other. Complex structures are created using Advance Steel structural elements (eg gantry frame or stairs), which include all the necessary elements, nodes and connections.
The Advance Steel program is adapted to the development of both standardized and non-standard designs. It has a large selection of cold rolled profiles and lattice structures from common manufacturers (Albion, Ayrshire, Canam Manac, Canfer, Fisher, HiSpan, Kingspan, Krupp, Metsec, SAB, SADEF, Staba, StructuralSections, Ward, Zeta, etc.). You can create individual custom sections and other elements and save them in tables (libraries) for reuse.

As for the younger versions of Windows 10, starting from 1607, it was the developers who set permission to install on these versions of Windows 10 in the installer, although they officially announced support only starting from 1809. I did not change anything.
Question: Are there any nuances of installing an assembly with integrated updates?
Answer:Yes there is. The installation of updates starts after the main installation of the application. Therefore, if at the end of the installation you are prompted to restart your computer, then do not do it. Confirm the completion of the program installation and just wait. Updates are installed automatically. At the end of the procedure, the notification "Installing updates complete. Enjoy!" will be displayed. This will mean that the installation is already complete! If a restart was required, you can now restart your computer.
Question: The program is not installed. You receive a 400x series error message. What to do?
Answer: For starters, check outwith explanations of error codes and brief recommendations for solving problems installing Autodesk products. If this does not help, then you can only find out the causes of the problem yourself by reading the installation logs. Autodesk has a utility that competently collects the necessary logs scattered across various folders of the operating system.
Question: Every time I launch the program, the "Data Privacy Options" window pops up, and the program also periodically freezes for no apparent reason. Ideas?
Answer:This crap module ODIS, which is part of the installation package. According to the experience of users who have encountered this problem, you just need to remove it. To do this, you need to run its uninstaller: %ProgramFiles%\Autodesk\AdODIS\V1\RemoveODIS.exe. Those who did this did not notice any negative consequences from the absence of this module.
