This program will teach you everything you need to know to use a relational database management system in the Web, the Cloud, and embedded applications. Database development and administration skills are required in most Information Technology, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, and Computer Science jobs. The courses utilize the open-source relational database MySQL. MySQL and its open-source fork, MariaDB, are used in millions of web apps to persist the application data and provide query processing. Students gain valuable hands-on experience programming SQL queries in the labs. In addition to the applied SQL labs, you will also gain an understanding of relational databases in general, learning how to design your database so it's robust and efficient.
