With Bennett, you can search for Bluetooth and Bluetooth Low Energy / Bluetooth Smart devices and monitor their signal strength.
Supports a decent variety of adapters
It is an application that does not require any installation, so it does not add any entries to the Windows Registry on your computer.
The interface is kept as intuitive and user-friendly as possible, so that even novices can explore their detected Bluetooth devices.
It needs to be mentioned that there are only a few adapters that are supported and that you can rely on to analyze the RSSI signal strength, namely BlueSoleil, FreeBT and Texas Instruments CC2540/41 Development Kit Bluetooth stacks.
Generated graphs can be saved as pictures
The status of the signal strength can be illustrated in a graph that you can export to an image file and examine it at a later time. There are several graphic formats supported by Bennett, such as JPEG, PNG, TIF, GIF and BMP.
There are some other adapters which are also recognized by Bennett, but they can only display various details about the Bluetooth devices, the signal strength not included.
All adapters can be used to review the MAC address of each device, vendor name and class, as well as the device name and some brief details regarding their services. You can also create a log file for each device and save it as a TXT file to the location you specify.
In conclusion
All in all, Bennett can prove to be a reliable software utility that can help you monitor the status of your Bluetooth devices and check the signal strength, if you are using a supported adapter.
