Description:
Everything is a search engine for Windows. Everything allows you to instantly find files and/or folders by their names. For the found results, in the program window, the basic file operations are usually available from the context menu of Windows Explorer. Everything does not use file content indexing at work, so searches are instantaneous, in real time. By default, Everything is configured to display all the contents of your disks at once in alphabetical order and filter out inconsistencies as you type a query, but it can be more convenient to set the option "Hide results on an empty search bar" in the settings, in which case the data in the window will appear as you type a query.

Setting options during installation. Before installation, you can select application settings and data storage location, as well as configure the service and set the service port. Optionally, the user can run applications with device administrator rights or disable NTFS disk indexing. The program offers to run every time you boot Windows until further notice, but this option can be turned off before installation or later in the settings panel. The utility can associate itself with its own EFU (Everything File Lists) file extension and automatically index NTFS partitions. What's more, you can integrate Everything into the context menu of Windows Explorer to quickly scan folders.
Minimalistic interface with advanced settings. The program creates an icon in the system tray when Windows starts and minimizes there when exiting. The main window of the application, the search box has a minimalistic approach in terms of appearance. However, the menu bar and context menu contain numerous options for you to explore. Multiple instances of the program are supported, so you can perform various searches and view results by arranging multiple utility windows side by side.
Instant search for files and apply various filters. Everything is able to automatically index any drives and folders you specify, showing the result in real time. You can specify exceptions, match cases, whole words, paths, or characters, use regular expressions, apply filters to audio, archives, documents, executables, folders, images, and movies, and add current searches to your filters.
Sort results and export file list.Search results can be sorted by a wide variety of criteria, such as name, size, path, extension, creation date in ascending or descending order. Moreover, the user can create and edit bookmarks, save search results to a file to resume later, or export results to CSV or TXT files. Search operators in Everything are very fast. The application consumes a small amount of processor and memory resources and can run in the background all the time without affecting the performance of the computer. Everything is filled with a wide range of advanced options and configuration options, so it's no surprise that Everything isn't as easy to set up as it sounds. Everything is an excellent file finder that meets the needs of most users who want instant results.
