Description
Writing well takes two things: being aware of conventions and noticing the conventions in writing. After you learn to do that, you are well on your way to becoming a proficient writer, after that, you are not far from excellence. In this class, you will learn how to fix your errors and learn what good writing is. You will spend about 2 hours to finish this course, and you will write one essay, which you will send to me for grading. In addition to lectures, you will read the book, "Hello, Writing Success" by Stella Meade. You will also be working on one essay the entire time. The goal of the class is to get you to see your writing and find the mistakes. I break down the rules in a very easy way so that you will be able to do that. It is also my goal to teach you to be someone who notices good writing, so I have you do multiple exercises where you look at writing to notice things. By the end of this class, you will be able to notice your own mistakes and teach others how to be a good writer. I hope that you would share this class with others because the gift of writing is never ending.
