This comprehensive course is designed with a full understanding of the IELTS test and its intricacies. The course helps students to fully understand academic writing. It gives a step by step approach to writing which students can easily follow during the writing process. The structure of the course is based on the IELTS marking criteria: Task response, Coherence and cohesion, Lexical resource and Grammatical range and accuracy. This structure is a good way to make sure that the essay question is answered without leaving out any information. The materials provided help the students to produce an academic piece of writing that is well organized, uses the correct academic language, is accurate, provides examples/evidence and also considers the audience (the examiner). Structures are provided for all essay types that students can encounter on test day. These structures are vital in order to write the correct essay that is fully developed; introducing the topic, writing main body paragraphs and concluding. Planning is covered in detail in this course to help students organize their ideas before they can start writing, so that their writing can be both cohesive and coherent. Time management is also covered in the course to help test takers achieve their writing goal within the allocated time limit.
