The Stone of Madness is a tactical stealth game in real time, the action of which unfolds in the Spanish monastery of the 18th century. This Jesuit Monastery battered in the Pyrenees serves as the House of Causion of the Mentally ill and the Inquisition prison. Five prisoners suffering from cruel punishments, madness and despair unite their skills and resources in order to confront their fears, maintain mind, reveal the secrets of the monastery and find a way to escape.
To escape from the monastery
The escape from the well -protected monastery is not an easy task, but Agnes, Leonor, Eduardo, Amelia and Alfredo intend to bring the matter to the end. Alternately control all five characters and use their unique improved skills to read spells, destroying goals, diverting the attention of enemies, stunning of evil spirits, studying hard -to -reach places and much more.
Explore the surroundings and combine the characters' abilities to find tips and tools scattered throughout the monastery. However, be careful: if you are found where you can't be, then you will not be greeted.
Control insanity
To effectively navigate the monastery, you must remember the mental health of the characters.
Each game character has a unique set of injuries and fears. If the character is faced with his fears, he gradually loses his mind and ultimately breaks down. This remains such negative consequences as paranoia, dementia or bouts of violence, and all this radically changes the behavior of the affected character.
Expand the secrets
Choose one of two full -fledged campaigns, each of which has its own plots, goals, special characters and other surprises.
The time in The Stone of Madness is continuously flowing. Actions have consequences, and players should take into account the time of day when making decisions.
Sneaking, exploring and collecting materials is best in the afternoon, when the guards are easy to distract. But when the day replaces the night, the paranormal inhabitants of the monastery will begin to manifest themselves, who pose a threat to the mind of the characters.
The night is best done to plan and prepare the escape. A player who will walk around the monastery in an exorbitant time await additional difficulties.
